When It's Time to Change...
This Week in Broadcasting...
*I talked to Dr. B yesterday about resigning from my Radio News Director Position @ WC. It's hard giving up something that I enjoy, but it's much harder trying to keep up with everything when I'm rarely on campus. I have already talked to some of the most qualified young-one's about taking over the position.
*Now it's time to focus on resume tapes!! I made a trip to WalMart this week to buy all the necessary material to get started. I'd like to start sending applications & tapes out soon after the holidays.
Career Goals...
*I love radio!! It's definitely where my heart is. & while I enjoy the news, I feel like I'm too nice to be a "tough" reporter. I like smalltown radio news, but that's not really where the money is. & I'm high maintenance -- I need to make money!! Especially to pay off my Westminster loans. Anyways, my ultimate goal is to be a morning show host -- being on-air, reading news, showing off my personality, & doing production.
Media-Related News...
*I found out that ABC News broadcast a story that was NOT TRUE. The source : www.fark.com (not a "trusted news source"). The site has a story about a "riot" at a Kenny Rogers booksigning. Unfortunately for the ABC journalist, Kenny Rogers did not have a booksigning -- nor does he have a new book coming out! He also was not in the area of the riot -- & obviously, then, the riot did not happen.

Megan: The newer versions of the Windows Media Explorer appear to have available software for converting different kinds of audio files. However, I do not know if that software is free.
I always go looking for free software or shareware.
