College Graduate

Commencement ceremonies at Westminster Saturday were wonderful! Although everyone was disappointed that we weren't outside, it was a great day regardless...

Mr. Weaver was like a proud father snapping pictures like crazy & yelling out our names as we walked past him and the rest of the faculty. Dr. B just told me a simple "Good Luck". So typical of both of them :) Mr. Weaver always openly, constantly supporting us... & Dr. B saying one sentence that let's us know we're doing okay. Both mean SO MUCH, though. I will definitely keep in touch with both professors AND my capstone class.

The best part of graduation day was getting ready with my roommates -- all four of them! Amy D. made the trip from Zanesville, OH to walk on graduation day. We listened to my graduation CD from high school for inspiration (cheesy, I know!), yelled & laughed a lot, & Susie & I cried a little... oh, we also complained about how nobody can look hot in a cap & gown. However, I have to say Jim, Susie, Amy, & I were lookin' good in our cardboard hats ;)

Congratulations BC Class of 2005! We made it :)

"Senior Week" was amazing -- so much fun bonding with my class. Although, during all the catching up I did the whole week, I only talked to one person who also has secured a full-time job. A few other's plan to go to grad school. I've been stressed about moving & starting a new life -- but atI'm so glad I know where I'm going. That's a good feeling.

I missed out on a lot of "Senior Week" bonding because I was still working my afternoon news shift at WKST -- but I didn't mind. Not only do I need the money, but I would not have been okay with no broadcasting in my life for a week! Goodbyes on Friday were harder than I thought they'd be -- I'm really going to miss my friends from work! We exchanged e-mails & will keep in touch, though, I'm sure. Tonight is my last shift at Froggy 95. I sat in with Lisa again while she's getting the hang of things (mostly the format, which is pretty strict).

Sunday my parents & I (& Buddy Girl) drove back up to my apartment in New Wilmington to move more of my things home so we can load up the moving van Tuesday & head to Ashland, OH.
