BIG SHOW - Country Roadshow Karaoke Ends

Saturday, November 5th -- the last WNCO-FM karaoke contest of the year! What a blast! More than 300 people came out for the big night. The Jubilee Center (reception hall) had food and drinks (to buy, of course) for everyone. I opened the show with 2 songs ("Here for the Party" one of them) to start the night off.



Each DJ for WNCO had their own table -- and our listener's e-mailed if they wanted to sit with us. I had two listeners, who ended up sitting with their own friends. Chris (boyfriend) and his family sat with my friends and family (and me, when I wasn't running around or onstage).







Jo Ann, Scott, and Sharon were our judges -- boy did they have a tough job!

We had 19 of our 20 finalists perform. The judges then narrowed that number down to 5. Finally, only 3 were left.



We danced A LOT throughout the whole night! Susie Johns and Jim Barrie (college roommates) were visiting this weekend -- so we started the line-dancing.



Our winner this year was so excited and grateful. His name is John Allen and he's from Lexington, Ohio.



John won $500, a recording session at a local studio, and a custom-made belt buckle. It says "2005 WNCO Country Roadshow Winner"... silver and big... a great prize for a country guy!
