It's Been Awhile...

...since I've had time to post!

Here's what I've been up to lately:

I met Darryl Worley ("Have You Forgotten", "Tennessee River Run", "Awful Beautiful Life" & "Family Tree") last Friday night between his two shows at the Knox County Fair in Mount Vernon, Ohio. We gave away 5 pairs of tickets for his show -- and one winner also got his latest CD, two Darryl Worley T-shirts, & a pair of MEET 'n' GREET passes. We had a lot of fun! Check out the rest of the pictures!

The next day, it was off to Pittsburgh for the Kenny Chesney "Somewhere in the Sun Tour" at Heinz Field. What a great show -- Uncle Kracker ("Drift Away", "Follow Me", & "When the Sun Goes Down" with Kenny Chesney), Pat Green ("Wave On Wave", "Baby Doll"), Gretchen Wilson ("RedNeck Woman", "Here for the Party", "When I Think About Cheatin'", & "All Jacked Up"), Keith Urban ("Days Go By", "Making Memories of Us"), & Kenny Chesney ("She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy", "You Had Me From Hello", "Keg in the Closet", "I Lost It", "She's Got It All").

The previous Friday night, I introduced Sawyer Brown ("Some Girls Do") at the Crawford County Fair. I stood up on stage & introduced myself -- talked about what I do at the station, & of course, about the band, too. It was really neat -- they were all really nice guys, too. Their opening act, Josh Bates, just got signed to Beach Street Records. I got my picture with him, too -- I'd say he's a Dierks Bentley (my favorite!) look-a-like.

For the last week, our production director was on vacation, so I took over that position. It was an AWESOME week -- I had a blast producing spots for our stations. It was a great experience. I also voicetracked the 3-7 shift while Matt was on vacation.

For the 2nd week in a row I'm working 9-6. Colman (program director/morning show host) is on vacation this week, so Gene is handling the morning show. So this week I'm voicetracking the 10-3 shift for Gene, it's exciting -- especially since that's the ideal shift for me (The shift of my radio idols: PollyWogg, TadPole/Mark Dunn, Sean Stevens...) Gene & I voicetrack the MidDay Country Cafe together -- lots of fun. (It makes me miss Pat & Megan in the Morning SO MUCH!)

Remember the Corporate Challenge that I mentioned before? Well, the pictures from it are up on the Y-105 website.
