Another Week as a Broadcaster

This Week in Broadcasting...

* My extra-long Froggy 95 shift this week went SO WELL! I had lots of phone calls & got by as well as I could while the Internet was down (this is usually where I do the majority of my show prep). And, of course, I was airchecking. I'm not sure how usable the tape will be, however, because I was still in the process of recovering from a cold.

* Pat & Megan in the Morning was professional, as always (except for Pat being half an hour late!) New Music Monday @ 8:15, Oscar talk, Weekend Briefs, & THIS WEEK ONLY "Titan Idol" tryouts (wow, did we have a "talented" caller!)

* I produced my 1st official production this week at Forever-- 2 commercials to run on WWGY, WKST, & WJST. I also dubbed a commercial for the Greenville Shoe Hospital -- who knew that existed? But it was a clever commercial: "Get this poor SOLE to the hospital!" GET IT? I thought it was cute...

* WKST News is going well this week (as usual). & the website is back!

Other News...

* I got a good start to my senior presentation (April 24th) Powerpoint presentation last weekend. My slides are basically finished -- now I just need to think of ways to jazz up my presentation.

* I've been applying to jobs in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, New York, New Jersey... and even some in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. "Pack Your Suitcase," says Dr. B!

(**Thanks Laura K. for the book!**)

Career Goals...

* Get me a full-time job doing what I love -- BROADCASTING!! 8-)

ALSO...
* Tonight Ashley ("Annie Croakley") and I are driving to Pittsburgh to see our favorite local band, The PovertyNeck Hillbillies. We're also going to see them in Ohio this Saturday -- with a bunch of friends & people we work with. My News Director is even coming!

Capstone...

* Tandi & I talked with Mr. Weaver about Broadcast Festival details last Friday during our "meeting". I'm really looking forward to updating the showcase in the Thompson Clark "BC Hallway".

* Sarah Ubry & I are getting together soon to make the official banner for the event (to be placed in the Time Capsule!)

* Props to Laura K. for securing the theater in McKelvey for our nighttime presentations!
