Being Grown Up

This week went VERY well! "Broadcasting is life... the rest is just details."
The PovertyNeck Hillbillies are back in town! We went to see them Thursday night & had a blast. & they wished Jim (my roommate) & I Happy Birthday! :) Froggy 95 went VERY well tonight -- I think I have added confidence on-air now that I have a full-time job.

Good News: Ron Colman (WNCO PD) just told me that we're likely to get a new studio sometime this year -- how cool!

I'm getting more excited every day to start my new "grown-up" life. On April 23rd, my parents & I are making a trip to Ashland for the day... Ron Colman is meeting us at the studio so I can get some paperwork & start that ball rolling. We are also meeting with a realtor -- trying to find an affordable place to live. While we're there, we're also going to go see the traveling Vietnam Memorial (it's in the Ashland area this month -- which I found out on the WNCO site!)

Pat & Megan in the Morning is tomorrow -- hopefully we'll have a chance to work on our "Countdown to the End" promo during our show -- since we all know that Pat & I are SUPER-BUSY! WKST afternoon news anchoring continues this week - I can't believe I'm so close to being done with news. I plan to keep up my writing, though, because I want to always be ready for any enticing openings in news :)

This Saturday, April 16th is Westminster/Alpha Sigs Annual "Relay For Life" (cancer walk/run). Titan Radio will be broadcasting LIVE from the track. We have at least one interview planned for each hour, too. As Dr. B says, this remote is gonna be the best yet! I'm working WKST morning news 5-8AM, then hitting up Relay for board op/remote work, then BACK to the Forever Studios to cover Ashley's Saturday shift 3-7PM on Froggy, then BACK to Relay for more shifts! It's gonna be a busy day, but successful!

Have a WONDERFUL week! Keep checkin' my blog for more updates.
